The Investment

Web3 and social tokens will be the technology catalyst for rearchitecting community and social engagement.

Social tokens are an emerging category of digital assets backed by an individual, brand or community, which allow creators to build next-generation engagement economies with their fans. This market has grown quite rapidly over the past year (the first ‘prominent’ social token $BOI, was launched in January 2019), with hundreds of tier 1 creators the likes of grammy winning artists like RAC and Portugal.

The Man, or athletes like Keisuke Honda having launched their creator coins. Founded by serial entrepreneur and past Kabbam founder Kevin Chou, Rally is the developer of a social token platform allowing artists, creators, influencers and other personalities to form their own digital economies so as to grow their brands and build next-generation engagement models with their fans. The company’s no-code platform with automated liquidity enables the minting and issuance of creator coins which drive additive creator monetization through deeper fan engagement and rewards, enabling celebrities to change how value is exchanged between creators and their fans, across any web2 or web3 platforms.

Rally launches fan community cryptocurrency with Grammy winner Portugal. The Man

Today, Rally is announcing that Grammy-winning artist Portugal. The Man has joined as a coin partner. All these entities have big followings and they’re adopting what Rally calls its Brand Coin, a cryptocurrency (dubbed a social token) that fans purchase and use to gain access to things like special events. Honda’s fans, for instance, can pay whatever they believe the coin is worth and use it to gain access to videos of him, on and off the field, said Rally CEO Kevin Chou, in an interview with VentureBeat.
