The Investment

The food delivery industry has been on the rise, propelled by increasing e-commerce penetration, new consumer preferences, and changing lifestyle demanding convenience.

Freshly is a weekly subscription service delivering fresh, healthy, ready-to-eat meals directly to the customers’ doorsteps. No shopping, preparation, clean-up – just ‘heat and eat.’ All meals are prepared gluten-free with top-quality ingredients. Thanks to the implementation of an extensive vendor and ingredient screening, Freshly ensures their products exceed any food safety regulations and industry expectations for a healthy meal. Those meals are prepared according to Freshly’s standards, and the Company offers to its customers full transparency regarding the different ingredients that are used in each meal.

Founded in 2015, Freshly is a New York City-based startup that offers healthy meals delivered to your home in weekly orders, which can then be prepared in a few minutes in your microwave or oven. So you get the benefit of fresh, healthy meals but — unlike signing up with a meal kit startup — you don’t have to spend a lot of time cooking them yourself.
